There will be displays and a free-will luncheon in the church fellowship hall during the tour.

This year's tour is coming together and looks to be another memorable experience for the community and families of the saints and actors!  September 17 is the date!

We've got a great group of actors who will be researching and writing their scripts as the summer continues.  It's so interesting to find out more about these people who lived before us.

We're excited to have the following actors portraying these saints;
Actor / Actress         Saint being portrayed
Megan Storkan          Lavinia  Holcomb
David Olson                 John Edstrom
Nancy Olson               Harriet Edstrom
Kim Salmela                  Clara Ekegren
Cindy Eklund             Harriet Ekegren Johnson
Ron Coller                           Carl Lund
David Hawkinson        Howard Hawkinson
Marlin McCurdy              Wood John Johnson
Lee Turner                        Pete Sandquist
Meredith McGrath            Elda Hawkinson

Like last year, we are planning a light lunch during the tour.  There will also be displays for each of the saint with pictures, mementos etc.  If you have something you could loan us for the day, please contact Lynne Moratzka.

Many volunteers are needed to produce the tour and we will be recruiting throughout August.  If you're interested in being a docent, helping with setup or takedown, or in the kitchen etc please send an email to elimcemetery@gmail.com, or call Scott at 651 592-3349 and leave a message.  Also watch for signup sheets in the fellowship hall.

We hope to see all of you participate and enjoy this years tour.

The planning committee has evaluated all of the suggestions and votes for the saints from coffee hour on March 5th.  We're recruiting actors to play the saints.  As we get commitments, we'll post them here.  These are tentative names, sometimes things come up... Here are the saints we'll feature this year:
  • Lavinia Holcomb - Portrayed by Megan Storkan (distant relative)
  • John & Harriet Edstrom (husband wife)
  • Clara Ekegren & Harriet Ekegren Johnson (mother - daughter) Kim Lappe Palmela will portray Harriet.  Her daughter Jenni will play Clara.
  • Carl Lund  Portrayed by Ron Coller, His grandson  (not sure about his first name)
  • Howard Hawkinson - Portrayed by David Hawkinson (son)
  • Wood John Johnson - Portrayed by Marlin McCurdy
  • Peter Sandquist and Edla Hawkinson (worked in Scandia postoffice)
