With the church being closed during the Covid-19 outbreak, genealogical research by family members coming into Elim and looking at the record books will be unavailable. Email Scott Walcker to find out if or when we're able to accommodate visitors again. We may open up sometime in July...
Genealogical Research
Elim has cemetery records and church records available for the public to use when doing genealogical research. Research can tedious and often requires a good deal of time. Record books must be used in the library. You should set up an appointment with Sally (651) 433-2723 several days in advance to assure the resource books will be available and that you will have enough time to look for the information you're seeking.
We also have some of the information in our cemetery and church record databases. Some of the records from the 1800's have been lost due to church fires, tornadoes and casual record keeping. If you would like to utilize this service please contact Scott Walcker, who maintains the database for searches and printouts. There will be a fee ($30/hr) for this service. For more information, send a request to [email protected]
