Helping Area Homeless Families |
St. Andrews's Family Shelter is a place where families from our own neighborhoods who are experiencing homelessness stay while receiving case management at the Community Resource Center at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi.
Elim members have several upcoming opportunities in 2025 to serve at St. Andrew's Family Shelter in Hugo. The first opportunity is the week of January 19-25, 2025. Below is a link to the sign up for that week, along with the two other opportunities available in 2025. All volunteers at St. Andrew's Family Shelter are required to have a current background check [background checks are valid for three (3) years], submit a signed Confidentiality and Safety Agreement, and view this Safe Boundaries video prior to volunteering. Below are links to the Background Check Authorization and Release form and also the Confidentiality and Safety Agreement. Copies of the forms will also be available across from the church office.
