Cemetery Maps
Elim manages two cemeteries. The North Cemetery across from the church dates from the mid 1800s. The second is south on O'Linda about 1/2 a mile. It originally belonged to a Swedish Methodist church that left the area around 1894. Elim took it over and has been managing it since then.
In the North Cemetery there are over 1700 "lots" covering the top and terraces on the south and west sides. This cemetery has less than 8 lots that are open for sale. There are over 300 lots that have been sold and will be used by the deed holders or their descendants.
The South Cemetery has over 1500 lots. More than 800 are open lots for sale.
The cemetery committee has been working on creating maps to help visitors and us to find graves or deceased. Wayne & Wilma Schmitt have worked an enormous amount of time creating CAD drawings of all the lots, their status and the names of the deceased that are buried in them. These two maps require a rather large printout and are difficult to reproduce and use. Recently the committee has divided these two large maps into sixteen smaller areas that can be enlarged and shared with the public and workers.

The South Cemetery has been divided into five maps. Click here to see the South Cemetery maps areas
